Jason is a pilot at our Pocatello base where he’s flown since 2015. But his path to joining the Classic team took him all around the world before landing in Idaho.
Originally from Utah, Jason dreamed of becoming a pilot ever since he saw Intermountain Life Flight flying overhead all the time as a kid. Jason didn’t want to be like his brother and fly airplanes, so he went with helicopters and set out on a globe-spanning career.
After working as a flight instructor in Texas, Utah, and Idaho, Jason moved to Saudi Arabia, where he flew EMS and for the Saudi Red Crescent in Abu Dhabi. His next stops were in Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon, before going to Afghanistan for another two years as a contractor. Jason was in the Middle East when he interviewed for his position at Classic, looking to transition to something that would let him live where he worked. He got the job and has been in Idaho ever since.
When he’s not flying, Jason lives in Idaho Falls with his wife and four kids. He loves anything and everything outdoors, from snowmobiles, to dirt bikes, to hunting, to fishing.
