Emmylee is a flight nurse at our Page AZ base where she’s been working ever since joining the team in 2016.
Born and raised in Page, Emmylee joined the military when she was 17 years old, serving as a hospital corpsman at the Balboa Medical Center in San Diego in addition to aboard the USNS Mercy. It was during that time training on the ship that she caught glimpses of helicopters landing and taking off, inspiring her to pursue a career in the sky.
After becoming an emergency room nurse, Emmylee worked at the Flagstaff Medical Center and Page Hospital, where she quickly became friends with members of the Classic team. They trained her to become a flight nurse and would soon welcome her as one of their own as the newest employee at the Page base.
Emmylee says her favorite parts of the her job are her coworkers, bringing comfort to her patients during challenge times, working in critical care, and flying over the most beautiful scenery in the country. She’s closing in on her 500th flight and loves serving the community she calls home, especially at Page hospital which is where she was born!
When she’s not flying, Emmylee lives full-time in Page with her family. She enjoys watching her kids play sports, boating on Lake Powell, hiking, and mountain biking.
