Dan first joined Classic in 2015 and is a base educator and flight nurse at our Pagosa Springs and Los Alamos bases.
Dan has wanted to work in emergency medicine ever since he performed CPR for the first time at 11 years. He turned that dream into a reality during his 13 years in the military, serving in the Army in Iraq, Central and South America. Upon his return, Dan became a registered nurse and worked in the emergency room department at Denver Health.
Dan is passionate about assisting in international disaster relief, and has traveled to 32 countries for medical training. This included trip to Iraq in 2017 where Dan worked in medical and emergency care outside of Mosul while Iraqi forces were fighting ISIS. He and his family have also spent two and a half years living in West Africa providing free surgeries and medical training in Sierra Leone, Togo, and Guinea.
When he’s not working for Classic or traveling on medical missions, Dan cherishes his time spent with his wife and two daughters. He’s an avid outdoorsman and spends his time leading an off-road 4×4 rescue and recovery group in Colorado.
