Jack has been flying with Classic since 2012 and is set to take the reins as our very first company-wide Training Director.
Jack has flown in almost each of the states in which Classic operates. He first joined as a pilot at our Vernal UT base before flying the company’s sole twin engine Bell 429 helicopter out of Glenwood Springs CO. From there, he was a part of our first Float Pilot Program, filling in wherever and whenever necessary at each of our bases.
Originally from Lake Charles LA, Jack spent two years as a missionary in South Korea after high school. He was working for his father’s company as a financial advisor when he crossed paths with an offshore oil rig pilot whose job sounded just a bit more exciting than a desk job. After completing flight school, Jack worked as a flight instructor in Utah and at the Embry-Riddle campus in Arizona.
Jack spent a few years piloting tours of the Grand Canyon before landing at Classic. He appreciates Classic’s commitment to creating a family environment – where he says he’s seen as much more than a number, but as a member of a close-knit family unit. As Training Director, he is looking forward to improving the overall knowledge of our pilots to better improve their ability to safely perform their duties.
Jack lives full-time in Bluffdale UT with his wife Nicole and their puppy Teddy. They enjoy traveling (especially to Hawaii) but these days, they’re happy to be found binging Netflix on the couch until the pandemic ends. Jack also owns the Native Son restaurant and bar in Glenwood Springs. Since joining Classic, he’s found the time to win body building contests, compete in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and CrossFit, and join a bike racing team.
Thank you Jack for all that you do!
